Today I was reading in Helman and I saw that I marked Helman 5:12 I remember trying to memorize that for our stake scripture and when I went back and kinda took it apart. I realized that I never  noticed something until reading that this morning. Helman says remember 2 times. I look at other scriptures and noticed that remember is said a lot. I think that when I read I shouldn't just read but read, mark and summarize.

  1. Yes! I need to work on memorizing scriptures too. Even though we don't memorize scriptures in seminary, We don't do scripture mastery, we do doctrinal mastery, I still want to memorize them. My seminary teachers husband keeps telling us to memorize scriptures, because then they are ours forever. I think it's really good that you are doing that!

  2. I agree! Memorizing favorite scriptures gives you something to ponder on when you have to wait for an appointment or something and also it can life your spirits when you are discouraged. And I LOVE Helaman 5:12! Jesus Christ is our SURE foundation. If He is the center of our lives, if we remember Him in every decision we make, we may fall, because that is part of the human experience, but it will never be permanent. He will always be there to pick us up!!
